Hyundai Makes Assurance Program Even Better

hyundai dealersYou wouldn’t think that the Hyundai Assurance Program could get any better than it already is. I mean, what other car company is willing to take back their vehicle if you lose your job within the first year of making payments? But I’ve underestimated Hyundai.

Officials at the fifth largest automaker in the world have decided to sweeten the proverbial pot with its return policy program. In addition to taking the car back with no questions asked (as long as you’ve lost your job involuntarily), Hyundai Assurance Plus “adds a one-time payment to the lender that is equal to 90 days of a loan or lease payment.” This means that you can still return the vehicle within a year of losing your job but the payments are not prorated and they do not have to be repaid even if you go back to work within those 90 days.

You can read more about the Hyundai Assurance Plus program here. Or you can visit your Pottstown area Hyundai dealer between now and April 30 to take advantage of this great program. With a program that protects you like this, what have you got to lose?

Toyota Focusing on Hybrids for US Market

hybrid carsThere was a time when Toyota was a leader in high-performance sports cars. Models like the Supra and other high-horsepower vehicles screamed the name “Toyota” as they whizzed by you on the streets. But due to customer demands and environmental issues, those days are far behind us.

Since 2002, Toyota has been focusing the majority of its efforts on greener cars. Today, the automaker’s North American operations are putting even more emphasis on more efficient cars and putting plans for sports cars with high-performance engines on the back burner.

“It’s just a re-prioritization of where we think the customer is today and where the customer is going to be 24 and 36 months from now,” explained Bob Carter, the Toyota Division general manager, in an interview with Automotive News. According to him, sports cars are not even on the agenda for Toyota at this time. They just do not make much business sense during a time when the eco-friendly craze has taken over and sports car drivers get dirty looks from hybrid drivers at red lights and stop signs.

Your Conshohocken area Toyota dealer can hook you up with a great deal on a new Toyota hybrid today. Check one out and see why these types of cars are in such high demand!

Allentown Auto Dealers May Get More Hybrids

honda dealersDue to the popularity of the Honda Insight, the automaker recently announced that it was going to increase production of its hybrid models to answer the growing demand. That means your Allentown auto dealers could be getting more hybrids on their lots as soon as later this year!

Increasing production is something few automakers are doing during these tumultuous times. Several domestic automakers are looking for even more money to replace the money they’ve mismanaged over the years. But Honda is thriving and much of the credit goes to the hybrid Insight model.

Originally, Honda planned to sell about 200,000 Insight hybrids worldwide. But so many people are buying these cars lately that the company had no choice but to start making more of them.

Part of the reason for the Insight’s popularity is the price. In Japan, Honda’s Insight sells for about $5,000 less than its fiercest competitor – the Toyota Prius. Honda hasn’t released any numbers about how many more Insights it plans to produce, but chances are you will see several more Honda Insight hybrids at your Doylestown area Honda dealer within a few months. You better visit one today and get behind the wheel of one while they last!

Hybrid Cars Save You Money on Road Trips

toyota hybridsI know it’s probably not the best time to be talking about road trips with the ice and snow and all, but it might help us get through the waning weeks of winter by talking about summer stuff. If you’re planning on staying home this summer because it’s too expensive to drive anywhere, have you considered investing in a hybrid car?

The prices of hybrid cars are coming down now that there is more competition in the market. If you’ve been afraid to invest in a hybrid because of the price, you can also look into the new certified hybrid program that Toyota has recently introduced. As hybrid owners are brining their hybrids in to trade for newer models, there is going to be a large selection of certified hybrids that you can choose from.

The certified hybrid program will operate much like the certified program for other cars. If the hybrid does not pass the rigorous inspection process, it does not receive certification. As a result, you can have peace of mind when buying a certified hybrid because it is covered under an extensive warranty.

So consider getting a new or certified used hybrid for the summer months from your Conshohocken area Toyota dealer. There are a number of models and styles to choose from so you will certainly find something that meets your needs.

Hyundai Automotive Shines at the Oscars

hyundai automotiveThis year, Hyundai Automotive took the spotlight as the official sponsor of the 2009 Academy Awards. As such, the fifth largest automaker in the world shared the stage with a “who’s who” of A-List celebrities and even some B-Listers.

Since the awards show, the automaker has seen a spike in interest. Edmunds.com has reported an significant increase in people looking for information about Hyundai products and vehicles. In fact, visits to Hyundai pages on the Edmunds website are up by more than 25 percent over last week’s searches. Specifically, searches for the Genesis model – the car advertised in one of the ads during Oscars – have nearly doubled compared to last weekend’s searches.

The new popularity that Hyundai Automotive is receiving is not unwarranted. For years, Hyundai has had a low profile in the United States. However, with more and more car buyers being financially-conscious and Hyundai being known for its value, the automaker is taking advantage of the situation to get its name “out there.” One advertisement even focused on helping viewers pronounce the company’s name correctly, pointing out that it rhymes with “Sunday.”

Toyota Hybrids become Top Priority

hybrid carsHybrids have been a priority for Toyota for several years. However, according to the Toyota Division General Manager Bob Carter, the automaker is going to put even more emphasis on Toyota hybrids in the coming months and years.

“It’s just a reprioritization of where we think the customer is today and where the customer is going to be in 24 and 36 months from now,” he said at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this month. He went on to talk about the FT-HS concept that Toyota had in mind for several years. The FT-HS was a hybrid vehicle with the appearance of a sports car. It was unveiled at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show and was expected to go into production in 2011, but those plans have been scrapped for right now.

“Personally I would love to have a sporty car,” said Carter, “but it is pretty clear what the market is looking for right now.” He also said that car buyers today are looking for more “high-quality, fuel-efficient, low-impact-environmental products.” As a result, Toyota hybrids are becoming a higher priority in future model lineups.

Isn’t it about time that you invested in a hybrid car? If you haven’t checked one out lately, it’s time to get on the bandwagon and see why more and more car buyers are turning to hybrids.

Allentown Auto Dealers Discuss New Honda CEO

new carsIn a world of tough economic times, drastic measures are needed. That’s why the Honda Motor Company decided it was time for “fresh leadership” to lead the automaker through the turmoil of a weak market.

The automaker’s senior managing director, Takanobu Ito, has been named the seventh president and CEO of Honda. The current person in charge – Takeo Fukui – will stay on the board as an adviser. He has been in the top position at the company since June 2003. And even though he has received the credit for keeping Honda profitable during these tough economic times, the automaker felt it would be a good idea for a new person to lead the company into the next stage. The changes are slated to take place following the yearly shareholders meeting in June.

The change isn’t coming with hard feelings, though. Fukui decided he was too “old school” for the challenges that today’s auto market presents to Honda. He is graciously stepping aside for 55-year-old Ito.

With stories like these, you can see that Honda is dedicated to withstanding the challenges and troubles. That’s a good reason to visit your Lansdale area Honda dealer and check out the new inventory on the lots. Check it out today and see why Honda is still standing tall while other automakers are on the brink of collapse.
