Doney, “those savings have been countered by revised Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy estimates and increases in vehicle ownership costs such as insurance premiums, depreciation, finance charges and other fees and taxes. ”

The ads typically begin with a voiceover asking the viewer a question about Honda’s vehicles and then the voice tells the consumer to research them on Edmunds.com for an “independent report.” They will be running during popular shows like CSI, The Amazing Race and Dancing with the Stars.

The ten coworkers worked together at an insurance company. They won the March 3 drawing and proudly showed the winning tickets to their other coworkers at the Chubb Insurance office in Whitehouse Station. They officially claimed their prize last Friday, according to New Jersey Lottery officials. They chose the cash option, meaning they will share a prize of about $140 million before taxes.

The Singin Oil store in Toms River was the place where they bought the winning ticket. Taner Cetintas, the owner of the store, will also receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The title of this post does not refer to the color of Honda cars that you buy, but rather their fuel efficiency.

The House of Representative began looking at a bill today that would give car buyers between $3,000 and $5,000 in incentives to give up their old cars (at least eight years old) and purchase a new fuel-efficient vehicle. The bill is Rep. Betty Sutton’s idea and it is designed to help lower-income buyers purchase cars that get at least 27 miles per gallon on the highway as evaluated by the EPA. The amount of the voucher would depend on the number of miles per gallon the purchased vehicle could get. In addition, people who take mass transportation could also receive $3,000 in vouchers for trading in an old vehicle.

“This legislation will help consumers, stimulate our economy, improve our environment, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and help our domestic auto and related industries, upon which millions of American families depend upon for employment,” explained Sutton.
