Allentown Auto Dealers Plan to Watch the Super Bowl…Do You?

Your Allentown auto dealers are going to be watching the Super Bowl with great interest this year. Of course, they will be cheering on their favorite team. But your Allentown auto dealers will also be watching for the new Hyundai commercial planned for the most important advertising day of the year.

This year’s ads during the Super Bowl may be rather different than previous years, though. With tough economic times (particularly in the auto industry), auto companies that bought ad space are likely going to tone down their commercials.

In the case of Hyundai, the automaker was planning to have two 30-second spots to exhibit its new Genesis Coupe. One of the spots was going to feature world famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Now, the fifth largest automaker in the world is having different thoughts. One of the planned ads may be replaced with an ad that explains Hyundai’s new Assurance Program that allows people to return their Hyundai car in case they lose their job or something else happens soon after they purchase it.

“We know consumers are concerned about their future earnings,” said the vice president of marketing at one of Hyundai’s West Coast branches. “That’s keeping a whole bunch of people on the sidelines from buying a new car.”

Relieve the stress of buying a new car and worrying about losing your job by visiting a Lansdale area Hyundai dealer today and taking advantage of the new incentive program.

Hyundai Automotive Not Concerned about Insurance Fraud

As more and more people are hurting for money, they are looking for ways to pay their bills and get out of their financial obligations. Hyundai Automotive realizes that people fall on hard times unexpectedly and sometimes that happens at the worst possible time. Sometimes it happens right after you have taken on a new financial responsibility like a car payment.

As a result, some people are stooping to some extreme lows to get out from under their car payments. Auto fire insurance claims have jumped by as much as 18 percent in some parts of the country while vehicle theft and other vandalism that destroys vehicles beyond recognition is at an all-time high as well. This has prompted insurance companies and some state officials to go to extreme measures to catch would-be thieves. In Nevada, for instance, helicopter forces are deployed at night to watch for hired “thieves” taking cars deep into the desert for torching or vandalism so the owner can collect insurance money.

This is why Hyundai Automotive offers the new Hyundai Assurance Program. The automaker does not want you to get bogged down with car payments so much that you resort to these tactics. Instead, if you find yourself in a dire financial situation, you can just bring the car back. Your Lansdale area Hyundai dealer is a participating dealer in this program and we’re here to help you, too. Visit us today for more information about this exciting program and to get a car that meets your needs and your budget.

Hyundai Automotive Receives Prestigious Award

We’ve written a lot of posts concerning the new Hyundai Genesis. That’s because we saw something special that’s likely going to take the auto market by storm. It appears we were onto something.

The new Hyundai Genesis recently won the North American Car of the Year Award that is given by a group of critics and auto writers throughout Canada and the United States. It beat other new cars that had a good shot at the title, including the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI and the Ford Flex, just to name a few.

The new Genesis, created by the bold engineers at Hyundai Automotive, is going to compete directly with the luxury car segment. This segment is a prestigious one that includes models like the Mercedes E-Class, the Audi A6 and the BMW 5-Series. However, the price tag for the Genesis is going to be much lower than what you’d expect to pay for a luxury vehicle. The good news is that you won’t have to sacrifice quality for affordability in this case.

The North American Car of the Year award has been given for 16 consecutive years. Judges look at aspects of the various cars, including design, safety, innovation, value and driver satisfaction.

Allentown Auto Discusses HD Radio

Since the Hyundai brand is one of the few brands to include HD Radio in its vehicles, your Allentown auto dealer wants you to know why this service is so great. Here are some things you should know about HD Radio so you can appreciate it as much as other drivers are right now.

• HD Radio offers CD-quality music from FM radio stations.
• AM radio signals on HD Radio sound like normal FM radio signals.
• HD Radio eliminates the crackles and pops that you typically hear with normally transmitted signals.
• HD Radio comes with equipment that tells the listener the name of the artist, the song and other information about the current track.
• Radio stations can “multicast,” or play more than one program through splitting their signal. This way, listeners can listen to a baseball game, talk show or music on their favorite radio station.
• HD Radio offers iTunes Tagging, which means you can tag a song that you like so you can purchase it later on iTunes.

With all of these benefits, what are you waiting for? Visit your East Brunswick Hyundai dealer or Allentown auto facility for a vehicle that includes HD Radio. You may find yourself enjoying it so much that you’ll start wanting to take the long way home from work!

Hyundai Automotive Introduces New Six-Speed Gearbox

Hyundai Automotive is always looking for ways to increase efficiency with every passing model year. This year is no different as Hyundai Automotive is introducing a new six-speed automatic gearbox. If you’re not car savvy, the more gears a car has, the more efficient it is.

Hyundai Automotive designed and manufactured the new gearbox for select 2009 models. While it’s not unheard of for a car manufacturer to design and produce their gearbox for installing in their products, it is rare. Only a couple other manufacturers have done this while the others typically buy ready-made gearboxes from specialist companies. In addition to having one more gear than the previous generation gearbox, the new system is “26 pounds lighter and uses 62 fewer parts.” It may in fact be the “lightest 6-speeder on the market,” as Hyundai claims.

But that’s not the best part. Engineers “in the know” say the new gearbox is going to increase fuel efficiency by about 12 percent. That’s good news since gas prices have started to inch back up in recent weeks!

The 2009 Hyundai Azera is going to be the first model to have the new gearbox installed. It will also be included on select 2009 models and vehicles thereafter. This gives you more reason to visit your Pottstown area Hyundai dealer to check out the 2009 models and see how much better they are than previous generations.

Hyundai Automotive Teams with Yo-Yo Ma for Super Bowl Ad

World-famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma is going to add an intriguing aspect to the Hyundai Automotive ads airing during this year’s Super Bowl. Although most people watching the Super Bowl will have no clue about who this guy is (many of them may not even know what a cello is), the automaker and those involved with the ad expect it to resonate with viewers.

“I think the people that will respond to the Yo-Yo Ma piece when watching the Super Bowl won’t necessarily be classical music fans,” said director Jim Elliot. “Within the context of all the other advertising, which can be so chaotic that it almost becomes white noise, a quiet gorgeous solo cello moment can be very arresting.”

The ad will feature a recorded track from Yo-Yo Ma’s 2002 “Bach’s Cello Suites Nos. 1, 5&6.” The song will be played in the background of the ad for Hyundai Automotive’s Genesis sedan. What’s even more unique about this ad is that viewers can go online and edit the commercial, including the song being played and other aspects of the spot.

Whether or not this ad will cause Super Bowl watchers to visit their Doylestown area Hyundai dealer the next morning to check out the inventory remains to be seen. But it just goes to show that Hyundai Automotive is not afraid to take chances and create a buzz about its product and bring more attention to it.

Hyundai Automotive Introduces Exciting New Program

Hyundai Automotive realizes that these are tough times for everybody. Instead of talking about solutions, though, officials at Hyundai Automotive recently released plans to offer a vehicle return program for car owners who fall on hard times.

In conjunction with Walkaway USA, Hyundai Automotive is offering a unique form of financial protection dubbed the “Hyundai Assurance Program.” As of January 2, Hyundai buyers will have the option of returning their vehicle within 12 months of purchasing it. The Hyundai vehicles that will qualify for the program are the new ones that are leased or financed at participating dealers.

“In this uncertain economy,” said John Krafcik, acting president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, “we are looking for ways to reassure shoppers that Hyundai still represents the best value in the auto industry.” He went on to say that the automaker’s agreement with Walkaway “allows us to offer a unique form of financial protection in all 50 states for the first time by an automaker.”

Isn’t it refreshing to know that in the midst of billions of dollars of handouts to domestic automakers with no protection for buyers, Hyundai Automotive has stepped up to help? Visit your Pottstown area Hyundai dealer today and receive peace of mind with a Hyundai car.

Allentown Auto Applauds Philadelphia’s New 311 Number

Your Allentown auto dealers want to applaud the new 311 service number that Philadelphia recently instituted. The new call center opened on Wednesday and it’s the first time the city has offered a “free phone number that residents, businesses and visitors can dial 24 hours a day to get information about a wide array of city services.”

When callers dial 311, they are connected to an operator that takes their call and directs it to a department in the local government that can answer their questions.

“311 will fundamentally change the way Philadelphians interact with the city government,” said the city’s mayor. “[It] will streamline customer service…it will serve as a centralized access point for city government, making it easier for citizens to navigate city services.”

Philadelphians are still asked to call 911 for emergency services. The 311 number is used only for non-emergency services and questions.

Of course, if you have any questions about cars, your Allentown auto dealers are always around to answer your questions. You can visit any Doylestown area Hyundai dealer for service questions, inquiries about new and used cars in the inventory and even financing tips. Check one out today!

Hyundai Automotive to Feature Genesis in Super Bowl Spots

The new Genesis, presented by Hyundai Automotive, is going to make two appearances on your television screen during the 2009 Super Bowl.

The automaker has purchased two TV spots for the 2010 coupe – one spot for each half. The spots are going to run for 30 seconds and they will “feature Formula-D champion Rhys Millen opening it up on a 12-turn road course, allowing Hyundai to position the sports coupe as a turbocharged performance machine.”

The Genesis coupe is Hyundai Automotive’s “most dynamic performance car ever,” said Joel Ewanick, the vice president of marketing for the automaker.

This isn’t Hyundai Automotive’s first dance, though. Last year, the automaker purchased two spots for the Genesis coupe, too. That was the first time Hyundai appeared in Super Bowl ads since 1989.

So far, Hyundai Automotive has sole more than 5,000 units of the Genesis coupe. Part of the reason is because of its performance and luxury. Another major part of its success is the base price. For about $32,000, buyers can experience a level of luxury and performance that is unheard of for that price. Fully-loaded models typically cost no more than $43,000. If this doesn’t make you want to visit your Doylestown area Hyundai dealer to check out a new Genesis, I don’t know what will.

Allentown Auto Congratulates Penn State

Your Allentown auto dealers want to congratulate this year’s Penn State football team for making it to the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. This isn’t the first time the Nittany Lions have made it to the Rose Bowl, but that doesn’t make it any less sweet.

In 1923, Penn State’s football team had to take a five-day train ride to Pasadena, California when it made it to that year’s Rose Bowl. Along the way, they made time to visit some of the nation’s most spectacular sites, including the Grand Canyon. The also did some sightseeing in Hollywood and other parts of southern California. After the five-day trek, they checked into their luxurious Santa Monica hotel to get ready for the big game.

On game day, traffic was brutal. The players and coaches were late and arrived to the stadium after the kickoff. The USC coach was angry. They had a shouting match on the sidelines and took their verbal fight to the locker room.

Those things won’t happen this year. Teams travel to the games on planes these days and police escorts accompany the players and coaches to the stadium. But the Rose Bowl of 1923 was one for the record books. Who knows what’s going to happen this year?

If you’re in the area for the game, make some history yourself by visiting your Pottstown area Hyundai dealer for a new car. Make 2009 a year to remember by starting it off right. Your Allentown auto dealer is ready to make that happen.
