There are two loops in this area that offer scenic beauty that you can appreciate without ever leaving your car. The western loop consists of the 35-mile Scenic Valley Tour that takes you through an area where the Civil War took place before going into the lovely apple and peach orchard country.
The eastern loop of the drive is a 42-mile Historic Conewago Tour. This drive goes through miles of farmland and presents historical themes along the way. Both routes offer deserted winding roads that are relaxing while mixing in changing images that undoubtedly please the eyes.
